When I first started using Pinterest I found the site extremely difficult to navigate. I was able to find information quickly on a topic but had trouble access the associated information, sources, advice or directions (topic depending). I did not experience those issues with Learnist. The information is laid out in a similar fashion but the site is extremely user friendly. One of my favorite features was is clear distinction between interests and areas of expertise. I think this site has benefits for both formal and informal learning.
This is interesting, I do not use either of these sites but earlier I read Darrecia's blog and she was discussing the differences and similarities between the two as well. I've also heard my siblings complaining this week about the new update to Pinterest and how they are having a very difficult time navigating the site now.
ReplyDeleteEven though I won't be perusing Learnist instead of Pinterest late at night I also found the sources on Learnist to be more readily available. I hate finding a pin of a super cute outfit with a broken link.
